The lights are on but no one is at home.
Oh. Wait. The lights aren't even on. I think it's an abandoned tribe. Do we get squatter's rights?

Hey Lydia! Yes, I'm in that tribe too, but I wasn't at Transformus. I may try to make it next year. I have a friend who's been telling me I should go, but I haven't made it yet.

I check out several of the Charlotte Tribes in hopes of finding some cool Charloteans.

*raises hand & waves to all*

I'm here! Maybe not as much as I'd like but I'm around. I'm loving Charlotte in the 2 years i've been here. So much to see, do & enjoy. Not to mention it's fun telling the rellie's up in Wisconsin where i'm from how wonderful the weather is compared to there. *blush & chuckle*

            Good to see others around!

Hope to talk to y'all soon!

Hey you cheese head!! What part of Wisconsin are you from? I've got a good friend in Greenbay, formerly in Appleton.

(Please don't take the "cheese head" comment personal. I have a friend from Cleveland, and I thought he was going to kick my a** the first time I referred to Cleveland as "The Mistake By The Lake!" "But dude! That's what my friends from Kent call it!")

lol...can't be offended by a nickname that those in my state & I proudly enjoy!

I lived in & around Waukesha & Kenosha counties since I was born until age 21. Now I live in Charlotte, NC since that's where my hubby's job has brought us for now. Both Hubby & I are Cheeseheads from birth and OCCASIONALLY miss the homeland, sometimes even the snow (but gotta say, being in only a light jacket & jeans at Christmas time is kinda fun--but I try not to rub it in to my family & friends back home). I have lots of family around the Green Bay area, so I know the city fairly well--to the point that I can tell you what street & exit to get off the interstate on, as well as a TERIFFIC little restaurant to eat at that even the players go to. I could go on, but I feel that's a little boastful & rude.

Anyway , where are you in Charlotte if I may ask? I live off Steele Creek Rd/Hwy. 160. It's quiet, though that seems to be in the midst of changing, as there's lots of construction going on just up around Westinghouse & down the opposite way about a block away from us. They're finally looking to expand the road it looks like, which we need round here--the traffic congestion is crazy during the week.

Sorry to get long-winded & rambly. I do that unfortunately sometimes!

hope to talk to you soon!

I actually live outside Monroe (been there since '92) but I get down your way fairly regular for work, so I know what you mean about all the construction down that way.

I live in Wyoming as a child, and I remember moving here, and when Christmas rolled around and there was no snow on the ground, I was worried that Santa wouldn't come. "Mom! How's Santa gonna land his sleigh if there's no snow!?" I miss the snow myself sometimes.
