I'm a 43 year old, married father of two. I'd love to chat with anyone about life and love. I'm currently studying engineering and I love music and films. I play the drums and love to cook. Talk to me.

    HI Walter & all

Welcome! Like you, I'm new to tribe. How long have you lived in Charlotte? I've been here w/my hubby about 2 years now due to his job. I admit, we've seen some of the fun the Queen City has to offer, but we still feel at times like we've found yet ANOTHER layer we haven't known of! Granted, we've hit Lowe's Motor Speedway (2 races), Concord Mills, Reid's Gold Mine, and live w/in 15 mins of Carowinds (haven't gone yet. We're lightweights about roller coasters). We honestly hope we can stay here. The weather, the green-ness, & people have been GREAT!

I'd love to talk about the music & films you enjoy. While I can barely play the guitar (or any instrument much for that matter--i sucked in band), I *can* sing pretty well. What films do you enjoy? We've got a VAST collection of movies here at home, covering MANY genres. Music for me is all over the map, but emo i just don't get. maybe cuz I'm 35 now. Oh well. I do enjoy cooking myself, and can be adventurous now & again--it's rather fun to stretch your "palate!" I have to say, baking seems to be my forte. More people praise my pies, cookies, etc. than what i cook it seems. I guess that's not truly a *bad* thing, right? ;)

Engineering's your field of study? ROCK ON! i've known some very good & talented engineers that make me want to do the Wayne's World "i'm not worthy" bow! What level are you studying at? Bachelor's? Master's? The reason I ask is that I know Grad school can be tough. I was engaged & living with my now husband when he went thru Grad School for the Ph.D. Chemistry program. I had a friend who went to the same Grad school & became an engineer. I think she received a Master's & when she left school after graduating (i lost touch w/her), she went to work for Lockheed. I admire you for your perseverence in that discipline!

Well, I hope to see you around tribe!

      Hello!

I have lived here in Charlotte since 1997 (when I moved from Bangladesh) and it continues to amaze me by it's phenomenal growth and how readily/openly/gracesullyf it welcomes all who moves in to the Queen city.

Welcome Fair and Walter to the tribe.... lets stay in touch!

      Love and light
